Our Story
Every Havee piece has a story before it has a stitch
I turned 30 and, on a bit of a whim, booked a trip to Bogota. I wasn't looking for a business — I was just looking for a good birthday. But within a few days I couldn't stop noticing the leather. The quality, the craftsmanship, the price — it didn't add up to what I was used to seeing back home.
That caught my attention because of what I already did for a living. I'd spent years in e-commerce, account managing dozens of brands, watching product after product get quietly hollowed out — more synthetic materials, more shortcuts, all in the name of protecting a margin. Somewhere along the way, a lot of the industry stopped making things that were actually meant to last.
Bogota felt like the opposite of that. So I started asking questions, meeting people, sitting down with vendor after vendor — and eventually got introduced to a family-run factory that's been doing this for generations, the kind of place that also crafts for some of the world's most respected fashion houses. Real leather, real hands, no corners cut.
One relationship later, El Salvador entered the picture — and I found the same thing there: a family factory with its own generations of leather tradition, built by people rebuilding something for themselves and their culture. Two countries, two factories, the same common thread — good people making honest things, the way it used to be done everywhere.
That's Havee. Not mass-produced, not cutting corners, not chasing the cheapest version of anything. Just genuinely well-made leather goods — wallets, cases, everyday carry — built to actually last, at a price that doesn't require a luxury budget to justify.
I'm headed to Argentina next to keep this going — more suppliers, more craftsmanship, more of what got me hooked in the first place. This is still early. I don't know yet exactly what Havee becomes — maybe it's the everyday leather brand, maybe there's one product in here that takes off and changes everything. Either way, I'm building it the same way I found it: on the ground, one honest supplier at a time.
Havee. Real leather. Real craft. Built to last.
